Buying art online?
Why - while really reluctant to buy without seeing in real - proposing the opposite step?
Among you, some people will buy directly on the site, simply after watching. Other persons will wait for an exhibition, a fair, an occasion to see with their own eyes, before buying, on second thoughts, online.
Let’s come back to the initial question: why buying online?
Once confidence established between buyer and seller, it becomes obvious. The Purchase Terms and Conditions are presented for both parties. If you do not like a piece of work or no longer like it? Like in traditional commerce, there exists terms and conditions for returning or exchanging your purchase. The screen does not prevent us from communicating, quite the contrary …
On the left column, artists whose names are featured in black have a piece of work proposed online; for dimmed names, the image is very close to completion. A creation corresponds to each artist. For each of them, you will find a picture, his/her résumé and clarifying texts that will make you want to know him/her better. Such list will not change a lot because several weeks pass between the moment when I meet an artist and the online offer of his/her piece of work. In order to be kept informed of novelties, you will soon receive a newsletter.
The pieces of work you will discover, that is to say the engravings produced through all the techniques, and pictures, are original ones. In the short descriptions located under the pictures, the certificates of issue clearly appear as well as the information, such as contact and email addresses, concerning the workshops we have visited, for several days and several times, until the final works’ printing.
Meeting these passionate professionals and observing them completely involved in their art, listening to the magic words they use, I like that.
The dimensions, titles and paper weights are also mentioned.
I could not present the fragrances of ink and the sweetness of paper. You will discover them when you will hold them in your own hands …
